Open Enrollment & Benefit Video Campaign

Art Direction  //  Storyboarding  //  Illustration

Transforming complex benefits information into clear, engaging video content that employees can easily understand. Across projects for organizations like Kaiser Permanente and Topgolf, I’ve translated dense enrollment materials into visual stories that simplify decision-making. By combining thoughtful art direction, structured storytelling, and approachable design, these videos turn traditionally overwhelming content into something accessible and engaging.

1. The Challenge

Kaiser Permanente needed to communicate a large volume of detailed benefits information in a format employees would actually watch and understand. The content was complex, compliance-driven, and not inherently engaging.

2. Strategy

  • Developed storyboards that broke down complex topics into sequential, easy-to-follow moments
  • Designed a system of illustrated characters and icons to make abstract benefits more tangible
  • Used color and visual hierarchy to guide attention and reinforce key information
  • Balanced clarity with approachability to ensure the content felt accessible without losing accuracy

1. The Challenge

1. The Challenge

Topgolf’s audience skews younger and less likely to engage with traditional, information-heavy benefits content. The challenge was to communicate essential enrollment details quickly, clearly, and in a way that felt engaging rather than obligatory.

2. Strategy

1. The Challenge

1. The Challenge

  • Structured the storyboard for quick pacing to maintain attention from a scrolling, short-form–accustomed audience
  • Introduced more expressive characters and playful visual moments to match Topgolf’s brand energy
  • Simplified messaging into concise, digestible beats to reduce cognitive load
  • Used bold color and motion-forward design to keep the video visually dynamic

3. Solution

The final video delivered key benefits information in a format that felt accessible and engaging for Topgolf’s audience, helping transform a typically overlooked topic into something employees were more likely to watch and understand.
